Another Apartment Decor Update

So I did a little more work on some stuff for my apartment last night and I am really excited.
.
The first thing I did was recover one of my puppies old dog beds with fabric to match my bedroom colors. I didn't want them to look to mathcy, so I used different fabric than my bad, but I think they wil look so cute laying in their bed next to mine hehe










Then I took this LOVE sign I got ar Dollar Tree for $1 at Painted over it to make it more bright and fun to match my towel colors.










Then I realized I already had a few fun things in my room I can put to use in my new bathroom....

I have this little cuby thing that hangs on the wall. I got it at a garage sale for like $1.50 a while back and it was already painted this way.









Then I found this candle holder one of my highschool friends gave me for graduation and it even has a little heart on the front....so cute!!









So I am well on my way to getting ready for the big move...yay!!! ~Kendra~

Cold Weather's Movin On In

So it's getting a little cold out, which was exciting for me, because I have been dying to wear this jacket!! I think its super cute and really makes this tanktop work! I also did some pattern mixing by adding in my zebra shoes. Today I've been doing homework, job searching (long story) and cleaning my apartment...there were clothes and stuff for my new apartment everywhere lol.

So I let my hair dry naturally and it turned out ok...I prefer straightening or curling it much better. The natural look feels too poofy lol. Anyways, hope everyone is ready for the cold winter ahead...I'm acctually getting excited about the change :) ~Kendra~

Apartment Decor Update

So I have been finding alot of cute stuff for my apartment. I am also working on some fun crafts for my apartment too. Here goes:

In highschool, I made this fun purple pillow and I am going to use purple as an accent color in my room.









I love message board so I had a plain one lying around. I covered it with purple fabric from an old tanktop with some hot glue. Then I added a pink ribbon across the top and glued on 2 squared jewels.












To add some more bling I also added gems with hot glue to the taks as well.









Then for my dining room I got 2 gold coffee mugs (59cents each) and one big silver mug. I also got a cute gold serving platter to place somewhere (59cents). (All from Goodwill)









Then I got some flowers (20cents at Dollar General) for the vase ($1.50 at Goodwill). To add a fun touch I tied some pink ribbon around it with a bow and then place a crown pin on it.












Then I got some hot pink placemats (4 for 20cents each) and added silve gems on each conner to make them a little more glam. I think they look so cute!

Well, that's everything I have got so far. My next project is to recover my dogs beds in fabric that will match my decor. Their bed for my bedroom with have purple fabric and pink zebra fabric on it. Oh and I am also making fun b/w kitchen magnets and a 'LOVE' sign for my bathroom.

Rainy Sunday

So today I am just doing some crafting, homework and possibly watching some football. (Goota let the bf enjoy his fav sport hehe) This morning we went to breakfast at Golden Corall...they opened a little late and didn't have all the food ready yet, so we acctually got to eat free. Yay for yummy free food!! Then my bf went to bed, cus he works nights, and I watched some tv and hungout with the dogs. Then I headed to my apartment to do some crafts and homework. My apartment stuff for my new apartment in december is coming along great!! I'm so excited! On to the outfit....

Absent Blogger

Sorry I have been gone from the blogging world so much lately. My new job, my last semester of college and life in general are taking over. I am even thinking of starting up a small business and etsy shop in the future, so working on that too. I will hopefully get back in the posting routine very soon!! :) ~Kendra~

Apartment Shopping

So I have started collecting little things for my apartment. I move in December, which isn't too far away, so I wanna move in with some stuff to decorate already. The only things I won;t be buying early is the bed, couch and paint.

So here's what I have so far:

I got a pink vase (Mines more fuscia) at Goodwill for $1.50.

I got this Lion statue at Home Depot for $7. It's about a foot and a half tall. It's supposed to go in your garden, but I am going to spray paint it gold and place it in my living room. I kind of want to get another one, so I have 2 statues like my inspiration photo. We'll see if they still have them later.

I got the white vase above from goodwill for 59cents. I will put it in the living room.

This 59cent Goodwill case will also go in the living room.

I got this IKEA table at Goodwill for $5.50. It will go next to my couch in the living room.

This is the comforter I got for my bedroom. I am going to do teal, pink and white in my room. I also got a storage cube covered in the same material I can use as extra seating and storage in my room. I am also going to get a silver serving tray to sit on top of it and put a lamp and some little things on there.

I definately have a set idea of what I want everything to look like. Also, my bathroom will br bright colors plus black and white. I already have bright colored towel and wash clothes. I also purchsed a plain white shower curtain and I am going to paint a large black heart design on it. Then I am going to have several black pinture frames with "Love is" comics inside them. Then I want to buy some block letters to spell out LOVE and paint them and place them on the vanity. I already have a black trash can for in there as well. I hope everyone's having a great weekend...I will just leave with a cute thought.....

Movie Night

So last week my boyfriend and I went to see All About Steve. It was cute and funny. Loved the unexpected ending. So not what either of us predicted!! This was the first time I really got dressed since starting my new job and I was so tired I didn't even have the energy to get all cute hehe. I went for simple and comfy. I never realized how tiring a full time job truly is, but I have never been more happy at any job than I am at this one so far. I have a vision for the future, I enjoy my coworkers, I am becoming more confident in my abilities and I am just enjoying learning new things.
