Exciting news....we have a place and a wedding date!!!!  A beautiful venue called Grand Traditions that has awesome all inclusive ammenities and the date.....April 27, 2012 :-)  Not to far away....Wooohooo!!!!  Now I have to hurry and get the DIY Save The Dates finished so I can send them out :-)

Engagement Celebration Time

So my parents, little bro and grandma still live in my hometown, which happens to be a long 6 hours away from the city life I love.  So what did my mom do when she heard the news of our engagement?  Planned a trip of course.  Just 2 days after (which would be Nov. 29th) we got engaged my mom drove 6 hours to see my ring in person, give us an adorable, musical engagement card and gush over how happy she is.  I am so thankful to have a mom who really would go to the ends of the earth to be there for me.  She's amazing!!!

Tuesday, November 27, 2012 is a day I will never, ever forget....It's the day BT (my nickname for my honey) asked me to be his wife and of course I said yes!  What a huge blessing!!  I seriously feel like I need to pinch myself...I really get to marry the man of my dreams, the man I have grown up with over the past 7 years, the man I have looked up to for his amazing faith in God, love for his family and dedication to growth in his work life. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!!!!!

The weekend after Thanksgiving the boyfriend (now fiance) and I headed to my hometown to see my family.  My mom wasnted me there for family photos and the bf wanted to go to ask my dad for permission to ask me for my hand in marriage.  I know some people think it's old fashioned (some of my friends included), but I think it's respectful to your parents and overall a romantic gesture.  Anyways...this is what I wore to work Friday, because we headed out of town as soon as we gott of work.  These stretchy jeans were perfect, the vest was great for layering and I just can't get enough of these comfy boots!!!

Sorry I've been away for over a week....

....life has been going Ahhhmazingly well.  Made Thanksgiving dinner for my honey...took a trip to my hometown with him last weekend to celebrate the holiday where he asked my dad for permission to ask me a special question.  Obviously my dad said yes because.....

I got engaged last night!!!!!!  :-)

I'm a little behind in outfit posting thanks to a busy week for the fashion design part of Low Cost High Style.  I styled/handled the decor for two baby showers and also made 3 onsies, 2 headbands and legwarmers.  Good times.  I truly love styling and sewing...since I started sewing again I can't even remember why I gave it up.

These pics are from last Monday...the bf and I were off work and after the busy anniversary weekend we were exhausted, so we spent a casual day just hanging out, lunch at IHOP, picked up the pups for the vet (where they satyed for the weekend) and took a trip to the dog park.  It was so nice!!

Day 3 of Our Anniversary Wknd

On Sunday the BF and I had yummy pumpkin waffles and fruit for breakfast at the B&B where we stayed in Marshall, TX.  Yup, one night in Jefferson and the one night in Marshall...small town hopping lol :-)  After breakfast we drove around town, but being Sunday, everything was closed so we just got gas and hit the road.

Day 2 of Anniversary Wknd

Saturday we spent the day in Jefferson, TX.  Spent most of the day walking around the historic downtown area looking at antique stores and just having fun.  Had amazing spinach & artichoke bread pudding for breakfast. Ate some yummy corn bread sandwhiches and pie for lunch.  We ate like crazy. lol  After a ton of shopping, we headed to the bayou for a boat tour, which ended up being the BF and I's favorite part of the day....beautiful, relazing and romantic!!!

Day 1 of the BF and I's 7 year anniversary weekend :-)
